Cassian Gray is a London based photographer.
Working mostly with people and landscapes, Cassian explores his connection to others and seeks to elevate his surroundings through image making. He uses the camera as a tool to instigate encounters - documenting individuals, places and communities that would otherwise pass unnoticed.
Learning photography on analogue cameras has endued him with great patience when photographing, allowing for a slower, more considered process. This creates a comfortable environment where he can focus on the engagement between himself and the subject, seeking to find a certain truth of the people he's photographing.
He holds a BA (Hons) in Photography from Kingston University and has had work featured on platforms such as British Journal of Photography, The Telegraph, Creative Review and It's Nice That.
